Created by globally renowned garden designer, Franchesca Watson, the estate’s gardens are not only designed to provide a lush, green backdrop to the manor house, but for practical reasons, too. In the kitchen garden, raised beds of seasonal vegetables and herbs are grown for chefs to use and guests to enjoy. Orchards have been planted to provide fruit throughout the year; pomegranate, passion fruit, plums, gages and nectarines. Fruit not consumed at harvest time makes preserves, jams and pickles for guests.
